On Wednesday, April 10, the King County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man who was shot and killed in Tuesday morning’s murder in the 15300 block of 4th Ave SW in downtown Burien as Antonio Jones, 27.

Jones died from multiple gunshot wounds, and this is considered a homicide.

As we previously reported, police say that Jones was shot and killed near SW 153rd and 4th Ave SW in downtown Burien early Tuesday morning, April 9.

Police say that the shooting was related to a “disturbance between multiple subjects” which escalated into a shooting shortly after midnight. Police also said that “this shooting does not appear to be gang related.”

After Jones was discovered on the ground, police began CPR, while Aid was called to the scene; tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A short time later, police interviewed a second victim – a 30-year-old male – who told them that an altercation occurred between at least five people, which escalated to the point where several people pulled out guns and began firing at each other.

Everyone at South King Media sends their deepest condolences to all who knew and loved Antonio, and we sure hope this type of local violence ends soon.
