The first clash of the new school year between Mount Rainier High and Kennedy Catholic High is this Thursday, Sept. 12, in the form of Girls Golf at Riverbend Golf Course.

Mt. Rainier has a very young team, captained by one of Washington’s top golfers and a top national D1 prospect, Junior Kennedy Knox, who finished 2nd in the 4A State Championship last season and is looking to pick up right where she left off.

Kennedy has a strong team throughout that will be relying on total points to try and secure the victory. The Lancers finished 10th in last years 4A State Championship as a team and are looking use that impressive finish to build on their success.

This is the first event of the 2019/2020 school year that pits these local, 4A powerhouse schools against each other.

It’s Des Moines vs. Burien, Waterland vs. B-Town, Mount Rainier vs. Kennedy Catholic, Rams vs. Lancers!
