Volunteers are needed for a Walker Preserve Stewardship Event on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019.

“Join your friends and neighbors in helping protect and restore this community treasure. We will be planting a variety of native trees and shrubs to restore areas recently cleared of ivy and blackberry!”

WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 26: 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

WHERE: Walker Preserve Park, SW. 168th St. and 2nd Ave. SW. in Normandy Park, up the road from Normandy Park City Hall (map below).

WHAT: Planting native trees and shrubs. No experience necessary. Tools, training, and snacks provided!

WHAT TO BRING: 

  • Filled water bottle and gloves if you have them; and
  • Weather appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes.
