Burien Police/King County Sheriff’s Office is reporting how a Deputy was “in the right place at the right time”:

Deputy Jackson was on patrol in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020, when he observed a man attempting to enter a car parked near a repair shop in the 200 block of SW 153rd Street in Burien (map below).

Police say that Jackson approached the man after watching him open the rear, passenger-side door and begin rummaging through the vehicle. After detaining the man for questioning, a window-breaking tool was found in his pocket in addition to a syringe filled with suspected black tar heroin.

“Due to Deputy Jackson’s timely actions, no property was reported missing from the car, and the suspect was arrested and charged with Vehicle Prowling (2nd degree),” police said.

“Way to go Deputy Jackson!”
