The 2020 Burien Film Festival will be holding a Hyperlocal Burien Film Contest, and they’re seeking “rockumentary” entries that include local businesses and neighborhoods.

This is a local, homegrown film festival that is an annual celebration of film arts which takes place in Burien, WA.  

The entrance fee is just $5.00, and prizes – up to $500 for First Place – will be awarded.

The DEADLINE to submit entries to the 2020 Burien Film Festival is midnight on Aug. 21, 2020.

Winners will be announced Friday, Sept. 18, 2020.

REQUIREMENTS:

What is your Burien story? (MOCKUMENTARY, 4-7 min. max) 

Bring your full creative vision to the story and create the best Burien mockumentary – anyone can make a film (previous winners have been shot on smartphones!).

      • Must include at least two Burien businesses (locally-owned small businesses are a plus).
      • Must mention/feature one of the Burien neighborhoods (See the map below).
      • Attempt the highest production value possible (feel free to ask our team for advice).

Prizes will be awarded:

    • First Place: $500
    • Second Place: $250
    • Third Place: $100
