From our friends at Discover Burien:

A new grant to help save small businesses has been created, and applications will open on Monday, April 20, 2020.

To apply, you must run a small business or chamber of commerce with between 3-20 employees (including yourself and not including independent contractors).

The business must be located in an economically vulnerable community (Burien is on the list).

Each grant is for $5,000 and must be applied toward business expenses.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

    • The application is short. It will take about 10 minutes to complete.
    • All you will need is your business’ W-9 form.
    • Grants will be awarded on a weekly basis, but you only need to apply one time to be eligible for funding.
    • Grants will be awarded weekly until all funds have been used. Once the grantee has been notified and submitted payment information that meets compliance checks, it will take 3-5 days to process the payment. The number of grants awarded will be scaled in proportion to the demand and available funds.
