Burien Police / King County Sheriff’s Office recently stopped a stolen vehicle, and in the process of serving a search warrant recovered other vehicles, guns, drugs, stolen credit cards, mail and packages in Burien.

Police say that on Sunday, April 26, 2020, Precinct 4 Special Emphasis Team (SET) detectives observed a stolen vehicle arrive at a home in the 12400 block of 23rd Ave. S. in Burien (map below).

Detectives coordinated with Burien PD and KCSO patrol units to stop the vehicle as it left the residence, and both occupants were placed into custody without incident.

A second vehicle on the property was identified as being stolen, and detectives were granted a search warrant for the residence, where they recovered:

    • 1 stolen handgun
    • 2 stolen vehicles
    • Narcotics and drug paraphernalia
    • Stolen credit cards
    • Approx. 100 pounds of stolen mail taken from Olympia, Tacoma, Fife, Seattle, and Burien
    • Stolen Amazon packages

Additionally:

    • 1,585 pieces of stolen mail
    • 65 stolen credit cards
    • 26 stolen ID’s/passports
    • 216 stolen/forged checks

Both suspects were booked into King County Jail for Investigation VUCSA (drugs) and Investigation Possession of Stolen Vehicle.

Additional felony charges are pending and will be filed once the investigation concludes.
