This last Sunday, Nov. 1, 2020, Ms. Gimelli-Hemme (7th & 8th grade science teacher) and Kevin James Schilling led a group of 13 St. Francis of Assisi 8th graders in a Community Service Project cleaning up litter at the Miller Creek Trail.

Students chose the Miller Creek area to clean up to connect with a science unit they had recently completed about the water cycle and how to trace the cycle in our Puget Sound Watershed and local bodies of water.

Miller Creek is a local creek that runs through SeaTac, Burien, and Normandy Park before flowing into Puget Sound.

“Thank you 8th graders for continuing your #communityservice!”
