The City of Burien announced that it will be hosting an online community forum to discuss the draft results of the city’s first Housing Action Plan on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2020 from 6 – 7:15 p.m.

This will be a free, online meeting being held via Zoom (link below).

“Please join us to learn more about the city’s housing needs, and proposed strategies and actions to build more housing for all of Burien’s residents. “

After a brief introduction from Mayor Jimmy Matta, staff will present results, followed by an opportunity for feedback in small group discussions. To learn more about the draft Housing Action Plan, please visit the project website.

WHEN: Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2020: 6–7:15 p.m.

Spanish and Vietnamese interpretation will be provided.

There will also be more opportunities to learn about the Housing Action Plan and provide public comment during upcoming Burien City Council and Planning Commission meetings.

  • Nov. 18 at 6 p.m.: The Burien Planning Commission and the Burien Human Services Commission will discuss the draft Housing Action Plan.
  • Nov. 23 at 7 p.m.: The Burien City Council will discuss the draft Housing Action Plan.
