Our friends at the Burien/White Center Rotary Club tell us that the 2020 ‘Shop with a Cop’ is officially underway.

Burien Police Department’s Michiko Wilson and Rotarian Gwen Fraser have been working exceptionally hard to make this event happen, including changing the plan multiple times to meet current COVID guidelines.

Last Friday, officers and Rotarians met at Fred Meyer in Burien to purchase gifts off “wish lists” for 50 youth in our community.

This Tuesday, Dec. 8 will be gift wrapping day, and on Dec. 19, 50 youth will receive a few special gifts to make their holiday a little bit brighter.

Grocery Outlet is also donating turkeys so each family will have a turkey for their holiday dinner.
