Burien Police / King County Sheriff’s Office are reporting about a recent success during an emphasis patrol, involving two teens found tagging graffiti downtown:

Downtown Burien has been hit with a lot of graffiti over the last several weeks.

Thursday night (Dec. 10, 2020), detectives were out working an emphasis patrol to try to catch the suspects in the act. At about 9:30 p.m., they stopped and arrested two 15-year olds in downtown Burien, as they were spray painting graffiti on an electrical box.

When they searched them, one had a loaded 9mm handgun in his jacket pocket and he was subsequently booked into the Youth Services Center for the firearm violation.

Please call 911 if you observe anyone damaging city or private property!
