All are invited to join a free online “Sky Writing Workshop” at Noon on Saturday,  Jan. 16, 2021, that is being developed for Metro’s RapidRide H-Line in Burien.

This online event is being offered in partnership with the Burien Library, and will be hosted by artists ELISHEBA JOHNSON & KRISTEN RAMIREZ in a 45-minute experimental writing workshop.

The artists will be leading participants in a “sky poetry” writing exercise, as their artwork is inspired by our relationship to nature and a Nigerian folktale called “Why We Have to Work.”

Poems created and words expressed by the public in this exercise will inform the eventual physical artwork.

Participants will watch a time-lapsed video of the sky, then make short sky poems with the artist team.
