REMINDER: Rain, snow or shine, the Burien Winter Market will be open this Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Burien Town Square Park (map below).

The Burien Winter Market is an extension of the Burien Farmers Market, and runs every Thursday through April 29, 2020.

Food vendors, crafts, hot cocoa, and more will be available at Burien Town Square Park as the Burien Farmers Market extends through the winter months.

Despite a 40 percent chance of snow (ha!) and temps in the low 30s, the market will be open.

Here’s Thursday’s forecast from the National Weather Service:

    • Thursday: A 40 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a steady temperature around 31. Wind chill values between 22 and 27. East wind 11 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
    • Thursday Night: A 50 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 25. Wind chill values between 16 and 21. East wind 13 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

The Burien Winter Market is an outlet for farmers, crafters and food processors to sell their wares directly to the public. In addition to the above, the Burien Winter Market will be an outlet for area non-profit organizations to provide information to the public through displays, performances, handouts, personal contact, and fundraising.

Vendors will accept cash and cards, and tokens are available at the orange Discover Burien tent for SNAP/EBT. They will not be offering SNAP Market Match during the winter market months, but will run your EBT card in exchange for tokens to spend at the market.

“MASKS MUST BE WORN TO ENTER THE BURIEN WINTER MARKET. NO EXCEPTIONS. MASKS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE ENTRANCE IF YOU NEED ONE.”
