Learn about Burien’s LEAD program at Burien Library on Thurs., Jan. 9

January 9 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

The Puget Sound Advocates For Retirement Action are inviting all to learn about the city’s new LEAD program at the Burien Library on Thursday, Jan. 9, starting at 1 p.m.

Burien Police Chief Ted Boe will speak at this free and open meeting.

LEAD (Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion), is a community-based diversion approach with the goals of improving public safety and public order, and reducing unnecessary justice system involvement of people who participate in the program.

“For more than 30 years PSARA (Puget Sound Advocates for Retirement Action) has been a forceful advocate for older Americans, their children, and their families. We work across generations for social justice, economic security, dignity, and a healthy planet for all of us.”
