DESCRIPTION:The Burien Film Festival (BFF) announced that it will be screening its 2024 BFF – BUFO (Burien UFO Festival) edition-winning films at the upcoming Burien Film Office Happy Hour on Tuesday night\, Oct. 22.  \nThe event will take place from 7–9 p.m. at the Tin Room Bar & Theater\, located in Olde Burien (map below). \nThe films will showcase the creativity and talent of filmmakers who participated in the Burien-centric competition\, which celebrates storytelling and cinematic innovation with a focus on the city and its culture…on the theme of UFOs/UAPs. \n…and the winners are: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n1st Prize ($1000): “Big Jim” dir. by David Over\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n2nd Prize ($500): “The Collective” dir. by Kellen Howe\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n3rd Prize ($250): “EPHEMERAL” dir. by Trey Baskett\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Burien Film Office Happy Hour\, known for fostering community engagement within the local film scene\, provides an ideal backdrop for this celebration of independent filmmaking. \n“Thank you to our judges Jessica Ivey and Krk Nordenstrom\,” organizer Shelli Park said. \nThe event is free to attend and welcomes all film lovers\, filmmakers\, and community members interested in celebrating the thriving film scene in Burien.
