DESCRIPTION:UPDATE: The beloved Giveaway Days event this weekend at FREE…er\, we mean THREE Tree Point has been expanded through Sunday\, July 13\, 2025\, with an extra day added to the festivities.  \n\n\n\nNow in its third year\, the community event echoes the success of previous giveaway days\, where hundreds turned out at Three Tree Point to leave or take everything from furniture and kitchenware to toys and tools and more. \n\n\n\n“Place items you don’t want along the road in front of your home and folks will take what they want\,” organizers said\, “you still have to get rid of what’s left-over but that will be a much smaller pile.” \n\n\n\nOrganizers also emphasized the eco‑friendly\, re-use benefits of the event. \n\n\n\nEvent Details:\n\n\n\n\nThis Friday\, July 11\, and Saturday\, July 12\, 2025\, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.\, residents of Three Tree Point who live on SW 172nd Street\, SW 171st Street\, Three Tree Point Lane\, Maplewild Ave SW and other 3TP streets are encouraged to set out things they don’t need anymore outside their homes/driveways.\n\n\n\nOrganizers strongly suggest adding a large “FREE STUFF” sign to indicate that stuff is free and up for grabs.\n\n\n\nOnce stuff is out and labeled\, it’s up for grabs in a kind of free neighborhood giveaway event – just drive/stroll through the area and take what you like (takers must haul what they take).\n\n\n\nThere will be no “holds” allowed on items – everything is up to you to haul and you cannot knock on doors or bother homeowners. It’s first come\, first served!\n\n\n\nThere is no main organizer to this event\, and we strongly encourage participants to treat it as another experiment to see if it works.\n\n\n\nRemember – put out some good stuff you don’t need\, not junk or garbage\, and let’s turn this neighborhood into FREE Tree Point!\n\n\n\n\nGiveaway Days runs all day both days. \n\n\n\nAll are welcome; there are no fees or registrations. \n\n\n\nFor more info or to volunteer\, please email pckeeney@gmail.com.
