DESCRIPTION:From our friends at WABI Burien: \nAre you aware of (and can you name) the great number of specimen trees we have right here in the heart of town? There will be a NEW and special Burien Tree Walk-n-Talk this Sunday\, Nov. 2\, which will be fascinating for all who attend! \nBurien resident\, Horticulturist\, Landscape Designer and Artist Mary Ann Newton will lead us on a two-mile stroll seeing fir\, cedar\, catalpa\, pine\, cherry\, spruce\, hemlock\, maple and sequoias around town. We previewed the walking route in the pouring rain\, while she told details and stories about the trees and their cones. Enchanting\, in spite of the rain. \nMary Ann shared her incredible journal in which she’s painted the trees and noted details about them. Many of these trees will be highlighted on the walk. \n \n\nDate: Sunday\, November 2\, 2025 (Rain or shine.)\nTime: Meet at 2:00 p.m. Introduction to Mary Ann Newton and her painted journal will precede the walk.\nLocation: Meet in the lobby of the Burien Library/City Hall building at 400 SW 152nd St.\, Burien WA 98166\nWho: Everyone is invited and welcome to join in (including four-legged friends).\nRoute: The total route is about 2 miles\, mostly flat\, with a few sidewalks.
