DESCRIPTION:All are invited to tour the Myers Way Wetland on Friday\, Feb. 27\, at 10 a.m. during a public event hosted by Weed Warriors. \nThe tour will take place at the wetland near 9701 Myers Way South (map below). \nParticipants are asked to meet at the gated entrance\, where organizers will drive attendees to a private parking area next to the wetland. \nThe tour begins promptly at 10 a.m. \nMadison Parker\, a Weed Warriors intern from the University of Washington\, will give a presentation on the wetland during the event. Parker is majoring in Environmental Science and is participating in an internship with the organization. \nAttendees will also have the opportunity to remove invasive weeds during the visit\, if they choose to participate. \nTools and gloves will be provided. \nWeed Warriors welcomed Parker and her expertise as part of her internship and encouraged community members to attend the educational tour. \nClick here for more info: https://www.naturestewardswa.org/

DESCRIPTION:The next 7 Stories community storytelling event will be held on Friday night\, Feb. 27 at the Highline Heritage Museum in Burien\, inviting residents to share true life stories centered on the theme “Blind Date” or “Love is Blind.” \nThis free\, open event will run from 7–8:30 p.m. \n7 Stories is designed to build community\, foster empathy and celebrate diversity through personal storytelling. \nEach event features real stories told by community members rather than theatrical performances. \nStorytellers are asked to sign up in advance and are selected ahead of the event.
