DESCRIPTION:The next 7 Stories community storytelling event will be held Friday night\, April 24 at the Highline Heritage Museum in Burien\, inviting residents to share true life stories centered on the theme “Foolishness” or “No Foolin.” \nThis free\, open event will run from 7–8:30 p.m. \n7 Stories is designed to build community\, foster empathy and celebrate diversity through personal storytelling. \nEach event features real stories told by community members rather than theatrical performances. \nStorytellers are asked to sign up in advance and are selected ahead of the event. SUMMARY:BAT Theatre's 'Rebellious Women' continues through May 3
DESCRIPTION:Burien Actors Theatre’s (BAT’s) Rebellious Women uses sharp humor\, raw emotion and moments of intimacy to explore how far women will go for what they believe.  \nThe show runs through Sunday\, May 3 at Kennedy Catholic High School (map below). \nSynopsis:\n“When contented housewife Edith accidentally wanders into a suffragette meeting\, she has no plans for revolution. But the women there will change her life forever. The harsh treatment of the protesters draws Edith toward the movement’s radical center. Where does she draw the line in the fight for equality? An unsentimental and sharp-witted homage to the suffragettes. ‘Deeds\, not words.’” \nRebellious Women uses sharp humor\, raw emotion\, and moments of intimacy to explore the Suffragists’ journey to secure the vote for women. \nRebellious Women contains some adult content. \nPerformances are on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. now through May 3.
