DESCRIPTION:The annual Strawberry Festival will return to Burien Town Square Park on Saturday and Sunday\, June 20-21\, bringing two days of family-friendly entertainment\, food\, vendors and community activities to downtown Burien. \nAccording to Discover Burien\, the Strawberry Festival is one of B-Town’s longest-standing traditions and remains a popular community event that draws residents and visitors for a weekend of live entertainment and classic festival attractions. \nThe festival will run from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on both Saturday\, June 20\, and Sunday\, June 21\, at Burien Town Square Park. \nThroughout the weekend\, attendees can enjoy live music\, food vendors\, merchant booths and a children’s activity area featuring entertainment for families. \nSaturday\, June 20:\n\nA hands-on petting zoo where children can meet and interact with animals\nTouch-a-Truck activities that allow children to explore trucks and other large vehicles up close\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSunday\, June 21:\n\nB-Town Derby Box Car Races\, where kids ages 16 and under are invited to race homemade cars downhill (sign up here)\nThe Father’s Day Car Show\, featuring classic cars\, hot rods and local auto pride\n\nDiscover Burien said the festival offers activities and attractions for a wide range of interests\, whether visitors come for the live entertainment\, family activities\, automobiles or community atmosphere. \nThe organization is also seeking vendors and sponsors for the event and has opened registration for participants interested in the B-Town Derby box car races.

DESCRIPTION:The Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum in Kent will host “Hydro Fever\,” a free public open house benefiting the Pacific Northwest Boat Racing Association\, on Saturday\, June 20\, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. \nThe event will be held at the museum\, located at 5917 S. 196th St. in Kent (map below)\, and will feature displays of vintage Unlimited Hydroplanes from the museum’s collection alongside current Limited Hydroplanes and drag boats representing multiple racing classes. \nAccording to event organizers\, hydroplane memorabilia and collector vendors will be located inside the museum. \nFormer Pay’n Pak driver John Walters will also attend for a book signing. \nVisitors will have the opportunity to browse a garage sale featuring posters\, uniforms\, programs\, shirts\, hats and other racing-related items from both the Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum and the Pacific Northwest Boat Racing Association. \nLunch will be available for purchase at the event for $10\, with all proceeds benefiting the Pacific Northwest Boat Racing Association. \nHydro Fever is designed to celebrate the Pacific Northwest’s long history of boat racing while helping support the region’s racing community through fundraising and public outreach. \n\n\n\nAnd of course\, no visit would be complete without paying homage to the legendary U-4 Miss Burien\, a hometown favorite and piece of hydroplane history. \nFor more information\, organizers encourage interested attendees to call 206-764-9453 or visit the museum’s website.
