DESCRIPTION:From our friends at WABI Burien: \n\n\n\n\nLet’s venture over to Renton for a popular walk along the Cedar River trail on Wednesday\, July 15th\, starting at 9 a.m. Everyone is invited to join our group of WABI Weekday Walkers on this flat\, 3-mile route that follows the Cedar River. \nWe’ll start from the northern end of the Cedar River trail parking lot\, near the Renton Rowing Center and closest to Lake Washington. Bathroom facilities are available nearby. The walk will take us south on the Cedar River trail for 1.5 miles. Along the way we’ll pass the Renton airport\, Renton Memorial Stadium\, and plenty of forest and river views before we turn around at the Renton Public Library. \nThis flat\, 3-mile round trip journey on paved pathways will take about one hour. \nDate: Wednesday\, July 15\, 2026\nTime: Meet a little before 9 a.m. so we can begin walking at 9:00.\nPlace: Cedar River trail parking lot adjacent to Renton Rowing Center at 1060 Nishiwaki Ln\, Renton.\nWho: Walkers of every level and ability (dogs are welcome\, too.)\nDistance: About 3 miles\, round trip. DESCRIPTION:The Des Moines Arts Commission will bring six weeks of free live music to Des Moines Beach Park this summer with its 2026 Summer Concert Series\, beginning Wednesday night\, July 15. \nConcerts will be held Wednesday evenings from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Des Moines Beach Park\, 22030 Cliff Ave. S. (map below). \nEach concert will feature live entertainment\, along with food trucks and a beer garden. \n\nOpens Wednesday\, July 15 with Spike and the Impalers\, a Northwest cover band that has performed for 25 years.\nWednesday\, July 22: Kitty Mae\, country cover band.\nWednesday\, July 29: Nite Wave\, featuring 1980s new wave music.\nWednesday\, Aug. 5: ABBAgraphs\, an ABBA tribute band.\nWednesday\, Aug. 12: Stevie and the Blue Flames\, harmonica blues.\nWednesday\, Aug. 19: Power of Love\, a Huey Lewis tribute band.\n\nAccording to the Des Moines Arts Commission\, the annual series offers a variety of musical styles\, ranging from country and blues to classic pop and rock tribute performances. \nAll concerts are FREE to attend.
