SUMMARY:Walk North SeaTac Park with the WABI Weekday Walkers
DESCRIPTION:From our friends at WABI Burien: \n\nLet’s return to North SeaTac Park for our next WABI Weekday Walkers outing on Wednesday\, Oct. 28. This lovely park is located just east of Burien\, in neighboring SeaTac. We’ll start our walk at 10 a.m. – NOTE CHANGE TO THE LATER START TIME. \nIn 2021\, The Seattle Times reported: \n\nThe area that makes up North SeaTac Park has long been intertwined with the Port of Seattle. Originally\, the park land was a residential area that was cleared of houses beginning in the 1970s due to aviation safety regulations. It remained abandoned for about 20 years until it was reborn as North SeaTac Park in 1998. \n\nToday\, the park features a peaceful setting with a paved\, flat trail (part of West Side Trail) that travels through wooded areas and past a playground\, ball fields\, and a frisbee golf course. \nWe’ll meet at the Highline/SeaTac Botanical Garden parking lot (adjacent to the SeaTac Community Center). We’ll walk through the parking lot and take a left onto S. 136th Street. Once we reach the park\, we’ll loop through on paved park trails. The walk should take about an hour. \n\n\n\nDate: Wednesday\, Oct. 28\, 2026\nTime:  Meet 5-10 minutes before 10:00 so we can start walking promptly at 10:00 a.m. NOTE CHANGE TO WINTER START TIME.\nMeeting Place: Highline/SeaTac Botanical Garden\, 13735 24th Ave. S.
