On Tuesday, Oct. 24, Burien CARES Animal Control received several reports of a possibly sick/injured baby coyote roaming the neighborhoods during the day and hunkering down in local yards. Last week they heard about this creature, but were unable to locate him. But on Tuesday a citizen came in and reported a sighting of him in a neighbor’s yard. Animal Control Officers responded and were able to quickly and safely catch the little guy and transport him to a local wildlife rescue for care. “Happy ending for this little guy!” Executive Director Debra George said. “He is in great hands and they expect him to make a full recovery, and he will be released into the wild once he’s recuperated.” Coyotes are not commonly dealt with by CARES, so this was a rather unusual case. “I am blessed with an amazing staff that love all animals!” Debra added.]]>
