Celebrate Burien’s Environmental Science Center’s 25th anniversary at Seahurst Park

Burien’s Environmental Science Center (ESC) will celebrate 25 years of community-driven environmental education and stewardship with a free public event this Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 12 to 4 p.m. at Seahurst Park.
The event will honor the people, programs, and partnerships that have shaped the organization’s mission over the past quarter century.
Guests are invited to enjoy an afternoon of hands-on activities, refreshments, and storytelling that highlights the center’s impact across South King County.
“This free community event will honor ESC’s journey and the partners, students, and neighbors who’ve shaped our mission,” organizers said in a statement. “We can’t wait to celebrate with you!”
The Environmental Science Center, based at Seahurst Park, has played a key role in connecting students, teachers, and residents with the Puget Sound ecosystem through outdoor learning, habitat restoration, and public programming.
The anniversary celebration will take place at 2220 SW Seahurst Park Road (map below), along the scenic shoreline of Puget Sound.
No registration is required.
