Poverty Bay Blues & Brews Fest promises live music, great beer, and sunshine on Saturday, Aug. 23

Blues fans and craft beer enthusiasts will converge on Des Moines Beach Park on Saturday, Aug. 23, for the 2025 Poverty Bay Blues & Brews Fest, an annual fundraiser hosted by the Rotary Club of Des Moines and Normandy Park.
Organizers are predicting “perfect weather” for the outdoor event – which runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. – with a forecast of 82 degrees and sunny skies.
The festival, now considered a Puget Sound summer tradition, will feature performances by the Hank Shreve Band, Alison Joy Williams, The Joel Astley Band, and Hillstomp.
“The Poverty Bay Blues & Brews Beer Lineup has never been better with dozens of craft beers from some of the Northwest’s best brewers, including Jellyfish Brewing, Four Generals Brewing, Acorn Brewing, Georgetown Brewing co., Stoup Brewing, along with many more and several Cideries,” the Rotary Club said in its announcement.
