Burien-White Center Rotary Club to honor local leaders at ‘Service Above Self’ gala on Thursday, April 30

All are invited to join your Burien-White Center Rotary Club for an unforgettable evening on Thursday, April 30 at Glen Acres Golf and Country Club featuring dinner, a lively silent and live auction, raffles, and the true highlight of the night—their “Service Above Self Awards.”

This fundraiser will run from 5:30–8 p.m.

This special moment honors the incredible, often unsung heroes making a difference right here in Burien and White Center.

This year, local Rotarians will celebrate Nancy Salguero McKay, Executive Director of the Highline Heritage Museum, and Pat Thompson, Executive Director and Co-Founder of The YES! Foundation—two inspiring leaders whose impact is felt across our entire community.

For more than 70 years, the Rotary Club of Burien–White Center has been deeply rooted in service to our community. Our members have volunteered countless hours and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support meaningful local causes—from the White Center Food Bank and WestSide Baby to the Highline Schools Foundation, the Environmental Science Center, scholarships for local graduating seniors, and programs like Children’s Shop with a Cop.
