Volunteers sought for Hilltop Park restoration effort in Burien on Saturday, May 16

The Environmental Science Center, Dirt Corps and the Green Burien Partnership will host a free Hilltop Park Community Restoration Day on Saturday, May 16, from Noon to 2 p.m., and Volunteers are needed.
The event will bring Volunteers together for hands-on environmental restoration work, art activities and community building at Hilltop Park in Burien (map below).
Organizers said participants will help remove invasive blackberry and ivy plants to support the growth of recently planted and established vegetation.
Students from the Outdoor Innovators after school program will help lead restoration activities and share plant knowledge with attendees, according to the Environmental Science Center.
All ages are welcome at the event, and snacks and refreshments will be provided.
Organizers encouraged community members to support the students involved in park stewardship efforts.
