See BAT Theatre’s ‘The Courage to Right a Woman’s Wrongs’ outdoors at Highline SeaTac Botanical Garden

BAT Theatre will bring its latest outdoor production to parks across South King County beginning Friday, July 24 with a family-friendly adaptation of The Courage to Right a Woman’s Wrongs.
This performance on Friday, July 24 will start at 7 p.m. at Highline SeaTac Botanical Garden (map below).
The comedy by Ana Caro Mallen De Soto will be performed at parks in Burien, SeaTac, Des Moines and Renton between July 24 and Aug. 14.
The free play is part of the Spanish comedia tradition that developed during the late 16th and early 17th centuries. The version being presented by BAT Theatre is adapted by Rachel Rene from a 2019 translation by the UCLA Working Group on the Comedia and Diversifying the Classics.
Synopsis:
“Leonor has been wronged by Don Juan—so, what’s a girl to do? Hunt the rat down and take a sword to his throat, of course! Dressed as the dashing Leonardo, Leonor travels to find him and initiates her shrewd plan for revenge. What follows is a hilarious feat of masterful maneuvering, cross-dressing, and unexpected twists. Don Juan may have finally met his match!”
