Burien Clean Sweep returns Saturday, April 26 with community cleanup, free meals, and bike raffle

Volunteers are invited to grab gloves and garbage bags for Burien Clean Sweep, the city’s annual community cleanup event, taking place Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Organized by Discover Burien in partnership with Recology, this year’s cleanup kicks off with in-person signups at 9 a.m. at Discover Burien’s office at 611 SW 152nd Street (map below).

A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided to all participants, and a free bike raffle will add to the festivities.

“Come with family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors to make a difference,” organizers said.

Volunteers will work together to beautify public spaces across the city by picking up litter and debris.

The event aims to promote civic pride, environmental stewardship, and local collaboration.
