Free job and opportunity fair coming to Burien Library Saturday, Sept. 19

September 19 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Job seekers can meet local employers, explore career opportunities and receive a professional headshot at a free job fair this Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Burien Library.

The King County Library System’s Adult Job and Opportunity Fair will run from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

The event is open to people ages 16 and older.

Employers and organizations representing health care, financial services, government, education, libraries, arts and culture, environmental health, public utilities, transportation and community services are expected to participate, according to the library system.

The fair is designed for people at different stages of their working lives, including those beginning a career, considering a change or returning to the workforce. Attendees will be able to learn about available positions and make connections with participating organizations.

A photographer will provide professional headshots during the event. Availability is limited, and photographs will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

Registration is encouraged for those who would like an email reminder, but it is not required. People may attend without registering. Event information and registration are available through the King County Library System.

The Burien Library Guild is sponsoring the event.

Organizations interested in participating may contact Alexis Carter at acarter@kcls.org.

Reasonable accommodations are available for people with disabilities. Requests should be sent to access@kcls.org at least seven days before the event, according to the library system.
