Free Repair Event will be at Burien Library on Wednesday, Mar. 15

A free Repair Event will be held at the Burien Library on Wednesday, Mar. 15, 2023, from 3 – 6 p.m.

At this free community event in the library’s main meeting room, skilled “fixers” will try to repair and mend household items and clothing.

Sign up in advance. One item per person.

“We will try to work on small household and personal items (including some electronics and small furniture), as well as clothing and textiles,” organizers said. “No lengthy reconstructive repairs. No major clothing alterations. No knife or tool sharpening at this event.”

“We may decline to work on an item – in advance or at the event – depending on the item, the type of repair needed, the fixers available, or for other reasons.”

These events seek to reduce waste and conserve resources.
