Highline Heritage Museum’s ‘Women Rising’ event is Saturday, Mar. 8

March 8 @ 11:00 am - 1:30 pm

The Highline Heritage Museum and the International Rescue Committee Washington are inviting the community to celebrate International Women’s Day this coming Saturday, Mar. 8, 2025, with a special event titled “Women Rising.”

The event will take place this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Highline Heritage Museum in Burien.

Attendees can expect a dynamic lineup of panelists, guest artists, and a collaborative art and poetry project focused on themes of home, community, and belonging. The celebration aims to uplift and empower women while fostering dialogue on culture, resilience, and shared experiences.

Brunch, Art, and Community Engagement

Organizers are promising an engaging and interactive experience, where participants will not only listen to insightful discussions but also contribute to a community art and poetry piece.

A brunch will be provided for attendees, making it a welcoming space for all to gather, connect, and celebrate the contributions of women in the community and beyond.

The event is open to the public, and further details—including registration information—will be available in the coming days.

For updates, interested attendees can follow Highline Heritage Museum and the International Rescue Committee Washington on social media.
