Residents interested in learning more about the proposed Seattle Tacoma International Airport expansion plans and the public engagement process will have several opportunities to get involved in the coming weeks.
The Seattle-Tacoma Airport Community Coalition for Justice will host a community learning session on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Glacier Middle School (map below).
The session is designed to help residents better understand the proposal and how they can participate in the public review process.
The Port of Seattle has also scheduled a series of public meetings to gather community input:
- Monday, June 22, 2026, 6 to 8 p.m.: Glacier Middle School
- Thursday, June 25, 2026, 6 to 8 p.m.: Wildwood Elementary School
- Saturday, June 27, 2026, 10 a.m. to Noon: Gregory Heights Elementary School
In addition, the cities of Burien and Des Moines plan to host a joint public meeting on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 6 p.m. A location for that meeting has not yet been announced.
Community members from Burien, Des Moines, SeaTac, Normandy Park and surrounding areas are encouraged to attend, learn more about the proposal and share their feedback during the public engagement process.
