Northwest Symphony Orchestra’s Season Finale’ Concert will be Friday, April 28

The Northwest Symphony Orchestra will perform Lobgesang (Hymn of Praise) by Felix Mendelssohn on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. at Benaroya Hall in Seattle.
Joining the NWSO in their season finalé performance will be ChoralSounds Northwest, Seattle Pacific University Choirs, and West Side Presbyterian Church Chancel Choir. This powerful piece includes one of the most moving darkness into light (hope) moments in all of music. The program will feature soprano soloists Alexandra Picard, and Lauren Kulesa, and tenor soloist Brendan Tuohy.
Anthony Spain, Music Director of the NWSO, conducts.
Also on the program is Dvorak Slavonic Dance Op. 46 No. 8, and in celebration of SPU music department 100th anniversary, is choral music performed by Seattle Pacific University Chamber Singers – Ryan Ellis conducting, and Fantasia in D minor “A Psalm for The Voiceless” (World Premiere) by Joshua A Idio – performed by Seattle Pacific University Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Christopher T. F. Hanson.
