PCC Market in Burien hosting ‘Comida y Corazón’ in celebration of Latino Heritage on Saturday, Sept. 14

Alimentando al Pueblo, a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting the Latino community, will host “Comida y Corazón: A Latino Heritage Celebration” on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024 at the Burien PCC Community Market.
The event, held from Noon to 3 p.m. at the Burien PCC, invites the community to enjoy an afternoon of live music, delicious bites, and an opportunity to learn about the nonprofit’s food bank program, which provides culturally relevant food to families in need.
The celebration is centered on Alimentando al Pueblo’s mission of fostering healing and connection through community (“comunidad“), food (“comida“), and celebration (“celebración“).
Attendees will experience the vibrant cultural traditions of the Latino community while supporting efforts to address food insecurity in the region. “Comida y Corazón” is part of Alimentando al Pueblo’s broader mission to create meaningful connections and celebrate Latino heritage through shared experiences.
The organization aims to uplift families by providing access to food, resources, and cultural enrichment.
The event is free and open to the public. Community members of all backgrounds are encouraged to attend and join in the celebration of Latino heritage.
