Saint Brigid’s Festival will bring Irish Film and Culture to Burien’s Tin Theater on Saturday, Feb. 1
February 1

The Irish Heritage Club and the Emerald City Irish Film Festival (ECIFF) are hosting a Saint Brigid’s Festival at the Tin Room Bar & Theater on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, featuring multiple screenings of Stolen, a powerful documentary that delves into a dark chapter of Irish history.
Originally shown at the 2024 ECIFF, Stolen received acclaim for its moving depiction of the treatment of unmarried mothers and their children in Ireland’s mother-and-baby institutions from 1922 to 1998.
The film, described by The Irish Times as a “whispered epic of still-raw secrets,” examines how over 80,000 women were incarcerated, separated from their babies, and subjected to harsh conditions under the influence of the Catholic Church.
“Stolen resonated deeply with our audiences,” said an Irish Heritage Club representative. “We’re thrilled to offer Seattle another chance to witness this incredible film in collaboration with Wildfire Films.”
The event will include screenings at 11:45 a.m., 2:30 p.m., and 5:30 p.m., with tickets priced at $10 per person.
Attendees can expect live music from the Seattle Piper Club, raffles, short talks on the 2025 ECIFF season, and a brief history of Saint Brigid.
The Tin Room Bar & Theater will open early for the event, with a limited menu available starting at 1:30 p.m.
