African Community Housing & Development (ACHD) new SeaTac Farmers Market will be held the first Wednesday of each month through Nov. 6, 2024.
The market will be open from 3 – 7 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month through November, with dates including July 3, August 7, September 4, October 2, and November 6.
The market will be held in the east parking lot of the Matt Griffin YMCA, 3595 S 188th St, SeaTac WA 98188 (map below).
Building on the immense success of the Delridge Farmers Market, the SeaTac Farmers Market fosters a vibrant space that supports BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) business owners and ensures access to healthy, fresh food for the SeaTac community. The market features a diverse line-up of vendors offering locally sourced produce, flowers, prepared food from global chefs, artisanal goods, and more.
The market is a program of ACHD, a Black women-led nonprofit serving King County’s African Diaspora.
“We’re thrilled to expand our vision of abundance and community service to SeaTac,” said Bilan Aden, Vice President and Co-Founder of ACHD.
The SeaTac Farmers Market nurtures a space for neighbors to connect and access valuable community resources. In alignment with their slogan, “center culture and cultivate community,” the market also provides free health and wellness resources such as diapers, personal care products, home cleaning products, and more.
