Show your love of birds at ‘Bird Fest’ at Burien Community Center on Saturday, Feb. 14

February 14 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Residents can spend Valentine’s Day learning about local wildlife and helping researchers track bird populations during the Environmental Science Center’s annual ‘Bird Fest,’ a free, family-friendly event on Saturday, Feb. 14 at the Burien Community Center.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Feb. 14 at the Burien Community Center (map below), and will offer families, friends and neighbors an opportunity to learn about their local birds and plants while participating in the annual Great Backyard Bird Count.

There will be bird walks, presentations, live raptors, family nature walks, community organization booths, door prize raffle, crafts and hands-on activities for all ages.

The Environmental Science Center has coordinated Bird Fest with sponsorship from the City of Burien to spread awareness on watershed health through creating native habitat for birds.

“This festival is open to all, with no required registration, though there will be advanced registration for some aspects available,” organizers said.

The event is FREE for everyone to stop by and participate. Learn more about event details, schedule of events, and more at:
