Textile Art Exhibition ‘Wool and Flowers’ opening reception is Friday night, April 4 at Highline Heritage Museum

April 4 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

A new art exhibit by local Artist Trisha Gilmore will open Friday night, April 4, 2025 at the Highline Heritage Museum, showcasing intricate textile works in a show titled “Wool and Flowers.”

The exhibition opens with a public reception on Friday from 5 to 6:30 p.m., and will run through June.

The show is presented in partnership with the Burien Arts Association and 4Culture, and supported by ArtsWA.

Gilmore’s work explores floral imagery through the tactile medium of wool, blending vibrant color and texture in hand-crafted pieces that invite close inspection.

Parking and entrance to the exhibit are free.

Sold artwork benefits the artist and the Burien Arts Association.

Meet and welcome the new Burien Arts Gallery Wall Program Chairperson, Essa Baird. Essa comes to Burien Arts as a well-qualified, experienced artist, and gallery program lead for the wall at the Highline Heritage Museum.

The Highline Heritage Museum is located at 819 SW 152nd Street in downtown Burien.
