Volunteers needed to help plant trees at Hilltop Park during sixth annual Green Burien Day

Volunteers are needed to help plant trees and improve Burien’s urban forest during the sixth annual Green Burien Day on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Hilltop Park, according to the event flyer.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the park (map below).

No experience is needed, and gloves, tools, snacks and water will be provided, organizers said.

The gathering offers participants a chance to learn about caring for the urban forest while taking part in planting.

“No experience needed, just come ready to have fun and learn about this important work!” organizers wrote in the flyer.
