Help is needed for Three Tree Point’s Youth Cabin, which fosters, stimulates and furthers educational, social and recreational activities among the youth of our community.

Here’s more info from the Three Tree Point Youth Association Board:

The Three Tree Point Youth Cabin was donated in 1949 by The Three Tree Point Community Club. The purpose of this organization is to continue to establish and maintain a youth center in the Three Tree Point-Gregory Heights Community which in turn fosters, stimulates and furthers educational, social and recreational activities among the youth of our community.

The cabin is operated 100% on donations from our community. Your donation is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) tax deduction (receipts available upon request). Our expenses are $1,300 annually: liability insurance, $789; electricity, $300; Surface water, $180; WA SOS, $10. Currently we are short in meeting our minimum maintenance fees. In addition, the $1,300 does not cover any money for reserves. The cabin is need of some updating and repairs.

We are writing to ask for your help! Please help us maintain this historic landmark that continues to be used by youth groups and the community. If you were not aware, neighbors are also welcome to use the cabin! There is no fee for this. Examples may include a club meeting, family gathering, kids’ sleepover or birthday party! Jené Acee is currently operating the scheduling for the cabin. You can reach her by e-mailing: [email protected]. For general cabin or donation information e-mail: [email protected]

You may make a donation by sending a check or via PayPal. Peter Barton is the treasurer. You can mail him a check at 16415 29th Place SW, Burien, WA 98166. Please make the check payable to TTPYA. Or, you can find us at PayPal @TTPYA. We request a minimum $40 donation, but all donations are appreciated!

Thank you for helping us save this rich history!
