The City of Burien is inviting artists from across Washington state to apply for its 2026 Gallery Program, offering local creators the opportunity to showcase their work in high-visibility community spaces throughout the city.
The call for artists is now open, with a submission deadline set for 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 22, 2025.
Selected artists will be featured in rotating exhibitions at one of three locations:
- Burien Community Center
- Maverick Apartments
- Merrill Gardens Senior Living.
Each location has unique display dimensions and offers a stipend ranging from $50 to $250 depending on the site and length of the exhibit.
Artists may submit 2D or 3D works depending on the chosen venue.
The program is open exclusively to artists residing in Washington state.
Submissions will be juried, and selected applicants will be notified by mid-October.

- Burien Community Center Lobby: A two-month exhibit of 2D work on a 14-foot-wide wall, with a $50 stipend.
