Firefighters from multiple agencies responded early Friday morning, July 11, 2025 to a residential fire in the 10200 block of 26th Ave SW near the Shorewood neighborhood, just south of White Center.
Crews were dispatched at approximately 2:10 a.m. on July 11, with units from North Highline Fire, Puget Sound Fire, Skyway Fire, and members of the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 2595 (IAFF 2595) arriving on scene.
The incident was classified as a “confirmed residential fire.”
According to dispatch records, at least 10 units were mobilized, including ladder and engine companies, battalion chiefs, and command units.
The rapid deployment underscores the severity of the fire, although no official word has yet been released on the extent of damage or whether there were any injuries.
The home is located in the Shorewood neighborhood near the Burien/White Center border. The area is served by North Highline Fire District and shares mutual aid agreements with surrounding jurisdictions.
As of Friday morning, the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
