UPDATE: The beloved Giveaway Days event this weekend at FREE…er, we mean THREE Tree Point has been expanded through Sunday, July 13, 2025, with an extra day added to the festivities.

Residents will now have even more time to declutter, donate, and discover free household items throughout the neighborhood all weekend.

Now in its third year, the community event echoes the success of previous giveaway days, where hundreds turned out at Three Tree Point to leave or take everything from furniture and kitchenware to toys and tools and more.

“Place items you don’t want along the road in front of your home and folks will take what they want,” organizers said, “you still have to get rid of what’s left-over but that will be a much smaller pile.”

Event Details:

This Friday, July 11, Saturday, July 12, and NEW – Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., residents of Three Tree Point who live on SW 172nd Street, SW 171st Street, Three Tree Point Lane, Maplewild Ave SW and other 3TP streets are encouraged to set out things they don’t need anymore outside their homes/driveways.
Organizers strongly suggest adding a large “FREE STUFF” sign to indicate that stuff is free and up for grabs.
Once stuff is out and labeled, it’s up for grabs in a kind of free neighborhood giveaway event – just drive/stroll through the area and take what you like (takers must haul what they take).
There will be no “holds” allowed on items – everything is up to you to haul and you cannot knock on doors or bother homeowners. It’s first come, first served!
There is no main organizer to this event, and we strongly encourage participants to treat it as another experiment to see if it works.
Remember – put out some good stuff you don’t need, not junk or garbage, and let’s turn this neighborhood into FREE Tree Point!
