From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, Burien Town Square will come alive with food, games and cultural activities during “Welcoming Burien: Celebrating Culture & Community,” part of the city’s participation in Welcoming America’s national Welcoming Week.

The free, family-friendly event will showcase the city’s diverse cultures through music, activities, food and community engagement.

“Everyone [is] welcome! No tickets needed; just stop by for fun cultural engagement,” organizers said.

Tables will be set up throughout the square with offerings of food, drinks, games and cultural activities that highlight the different backgrounds that make up Burien’s community.

The event is part of a larger celebration hosted nationwide by Welcoming America, which partners with local communities to highlight cultural connections and inclusivity.

Discover Burien, which is organizing the celebration, is also seeking sponsors.
