The Seattle Southside Chamber of Commerce is celebrating the conclusion of the 2025 Comcast RISE grant cycle and the incredible impact it has had across King County. especially in our Southside communities.
Out of 780 completed applications, nearly 50 came from Burien alone, with strong participation from SeaTac, Des Moines, and Tukwila.
Comcast RISE, an initiative under Comcast’s national Project UP commitment. provides comprehensive grant packages to small businesses that include a $5,000 monetary grant, technology upgrades, creative production, media strategy, business coaching, and educational resources to support growth and innovation.
This year, 100 King County small businesses were selected to receive these transformative grant packages. The Chamber is especially proud to recognize five local recipients directly connected to our Chamber network:

- Love Resources Development Group
- Dimension XR
- Emerald City Barber Co.

The Comcast RISE recipients in King County represent a diverse cross-section of industries and neighborhoods, each contributing to the local economy and cultural vibrancy of our region.
Each award package includes:
- Technology Makeover: Computer equipment and 12 months of internet, voice, and cybersecurity services
- Creative Production & Media: 30-second commercial, 180-day media placement, and media strategy
- Education Resources: One-year access to online entrepreneurship courses
- $5,000 Monetary Grant
- Business Coaching: One-on-one assessments and tailored growth support
Comcast RISE is part of Project UP, Comcast’s $1 billion initiative to advance digital equity and economic mobility. Since its inception, the program has delivered more than $160 million in support to 14,500 small businesses nationwide, including hundreds in Washington state.
