A driver was arrested in Burien Thursday morning, Sept. 18, 2025 after deputies found him unconscious behind the wheel of a running vehicle with drug paraphernalia in his lap, according to the Burien Police Department.

Police said a deputy was dispatched around 7 a.m. to a parking violation call when they came across the vehicle.

The deputy noticed the driver inside the vehicle, but unresponsive.

After approaching, the deputy reported seeing drug paraphernalia on the driver’s lap.

The driver was roused, but did not pass field sobriety tests, according to police.

He was arrested on suspicion of physical control of a vehicle while under the influence.

The suspect was taken to a hospital for a legal blood draw, then was to be booked into jail.

Burien Police did not release any additional details.

  1. That guy has usually parked right around 1st and 136th or at the Methodist church that hosts the shelter, he’s been around a long time and none of the Homeless Industrial Complex supporters have even helped him get off the street to deal with his addiction.
