Kennedy Catholic High School’s football Lancers surged to a commanding early lead and never looked back Thursday night, Oct. 2, 2025, defeating the Auburn Trojans on the road 47-22 in a North Puget Sound League matchup.

This was the third consecutive win for the Lancers, who are averaging 46 points a game in that stretch, and more than 33 points per game overall this season.

The Lancers put up 14 points in the first quarter and exploded for 27 more in the second, holding the Trojans scoreless in the middle frames.

Auburn mounted a late push with 16 points in the fourth quarter, but the deficit was too large to overcome.

Senior quarterback Dante Saladino led Kennedy Catholic with 127 passing yards and two touchdowns on 4-of-6 attempts. He also added two rushing scores.

Junior running back Nikko Lecksiwilai powered the Lancers ground game with 109 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries.

Sophomore Brayden Seiber caught both completions, finishing with 97 receiving yards and a touchdown.

The victory lifts Kennedy Catholic’s overall season record to 3-2 (3-0 district), while Auburn fell to 2-3 (1-2 district).

The football Lancers will next face Auburn Riverside at Highline Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 11, with a 1 p.m. kick-off.
