Washington State Patrol detectives are seeking witnesses to a fatal hit-and-run on northbound SR 599 near Interurban Avenue late Friday night, Oct. 24, 2025.

As we previously reported, troopers responded around 11:50 p.m. Friday night after receiving a 9-1-1 call about a serious crash.

Investigators determined that a vehicle traveling northbound on SR 599 lost control and rolled, ejecting two of its three occupants.

One of the ejected occupants landed in the first northbound lane, where another vehicle swerved and struck the individual, who died at the scene, WSP said.

The vehicle that left the scene was described as an older model Lexus SUV with likely damage to the front left bumper, tire, and wheel well.
