A shooting outside the McDonald’s on 1st Ave South in Burien on Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 25, 2025, was captured on video and shared with The B-Town Blog by an eyewitness.

The video, recorded by a witness who asked to remain anonymous, shows several juveniles tipping over what appears to be an unhoused person’s cart in the restaurant’s parking lot.

Moments later, after the individual reacts, one of the juveniles appears to pull a gun from his waistband before firing multiple shots (see video below).

As we previously reported, the shooting prompted a large and immediate police response. Authorities placed nearby Highline High School into “Secure” lockdown as a precaution while officers searched the area.

The witness said police already have a copy of the video and are reviewing it as part of their investigation.

In the recording, the shooter can be seen running through the parking lot while drawing the gun from his waistband. Three to four shots can be heard seconds later.

Police detained one person but later released them, saying there wasn’t enough evidence at the scene for deputies to make an arrest.

At least one vehicle in the parking lot was struck by a stray bullet, according to the department.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Burien Police Department or the King County Sheriff’s Office at (206) 477-2200.

    1. Because this group of troubled individuals were causing a ruckus prior to the incident, they were screwing around apparently prior to the gun being pulled out (enough to get other bystanders attention)… I’d assume the person who started to video them felt something was going to come from it all and it did.
